Every week, we feed
San Antonio's forgotten neighbors.
Communities Under the Bridge has shown up — rain or shine — every single week since 1996. Hot meals, clean clothes, worship, and a community that says: you belong here.

We Show Up. Every Week. No Exceptions.
Since 1996, CUB has gathered every week at 724 Chestnut Street — under the bridge where San Antonio's homeless neighbors live — to bring food, clothing, worship, and friendship.
No one is turned away. No one is judged. Everyone who comes finds a hot meal, a warm welcome, and people who genuinely care. That's been true for 28 years — and it's true this week too.

This Is What Consistent Love Looks Like
Your Money Goes Straight to the People Who Need It
CUB is volunteer-powered. That means your gift buys meals and supplies — not overhead.
Ten of our neighbors sit down to a hot meal this Sunday because of you. That's real.
Socks, shirts, jackets — the basics we take for granted. You give them back.
Hygiene kits, personal care items, and supplies that restore dignity — for an entire month.
Every dollar goes to the people, not the paperwork. We're run on volunteer power.
CUB is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your gift is fully tax-deductible and goes directly to people in need.
More Than a Meal. A Community.
We don't just hand out food and leave. We stay, we worship, we listen — every week.

Hot Meals, Every Week
900+ plates served this Sunday — and every Sunday. No one who comes to CUB goes home hungry.

Worship & Spiritual Hope
Some of our neighbors haven't heard “you matter” in years. We say it every week — through song, prayer, and presence.

Real Belonging
Homelessness is lonely. CUB isn't a transaction — it's a community where people know each other's names.

Clothing & Essentials
Clean clothes, hygiene supplies, and basics — distributed at our site and donated to local schools in need.

Don't Take Our Word for It
Every week, volunteers leave saying the same thing: “I got more than I gave.”
“A wonderful place to serve the less fortunate in our beautiful city. I'm honored to be a part of CUB.”

“Volunteering at CUB is not only a blessing to those we serve — it honestly blesses me more.”

“A one-of-a-kind church serving our community. Amazing people — such humility, mercy and care!”

San Antonio Has Taken Notice
TV stations, newspapers, and grant funders have all recognized what CUB has quietly built over 28 years.

Communities Under The Bridge plan to open new resources to help the city's unsheltered population
Several new resources are in the works to take their level of care to the next step — including a free laundromat and barbershop for people experiencing homelessness.

Communities Under the Bridge hopes to break ground and open a free laundromat and barbershop for unhoused people in San Antonio.

A God Dream Leads to Action
CUB has been serving the homeless population in our city for years and has seen blessing after blessing come their way as a result of their obedience to serving the least of these.

From under a bridge to under a roof
A nearly 9,000-square-foot structure near downtown serves 900 meals each week and stands as a tribute to a determined congregation.

Foundations Trust Us With Their Money. You Can Too.
When you give to CUB, you join foundations, journalists, and thousands of San Antonians who have already put their trust in this organization. 28 years of showing up — transparently, faithfully, and with results you can see every single Sunday.
Pick Your Way to Show Up
You don't need to do everything. Just one of these makes a real difference — this week.
Give Your Time
Show up on a Sunday. Serve a meal. Shake a hand. Whether you come alone, with family, or as a church group — you're welcome. No experience needed.
Give Money
$25 feeds 10 people. $50 clothes a family. Whatever you give goes straight to the people under the bridge — not to overhead.
Give Goods
Got clothes you no longer wear? Hygiene products? Blankets? Drop them off — or organize a drive at your workplace or church.
First time? Just show up.
Seriously — no training, no sign-up process, no awkwardness. Come to 724 Chestnut Street on a service day and someone will greet you at the door. Bring your family, your small group, your coworkers. Check the calendar to find the next date.

A Free Laundromat.
A Free Barbershop.
More Dignity.
Two buildings next to our sanctuary are being transformed. When they open, any unhoused neighbor in San Antonio can walk in — no charge, no judgment — for clean clothes and a fresh start.
This vision came to Executive Director Dianne Talbert in the middle of the night — a God-given dream of a place that restores dignity, not just supplies. You can help make it real.
Come Find Us. The Door Is Always Open.
Questions? Want to volunteer? Just curious? Reach out — or better yet, just show up on a service day. We'd love to meet you.
“Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden,
and I will give you rest.”
This is the promise that calls our volunteers back every Sunday — and why no one is ever turned away.
