Who We Are

We Show Up. Every Week. No Exceptions.

Since 1996, CUB has gathered every week at 724 Chestnut Street — under the bridge where San Antonio's homeless neighbors live — to bring food, clothing, worship, and friendship.

No one is turned away. No one is judged. Everyone who comes finds a hot meal, a warm welcome, and people who genuinely care. That's been true for 28 years — and it's true this week too.

What We Do

More Than a Meal. A Community.

We don't just hand out food and leave. We stay, we worship, we listen — every week.

Hot Meals, Every Week

Hot Meals, Every Week

900+ plates served this Sunday — and every Sunday. No one who comes to CUB goes home hungry.

Worship & Spiritual Hope

Worship & Spiritual Hope

Some of our neighbors haven't heard “you matter” in years. We say it every week — through song, prayer, and presence.

Real Belonging

Real Belonging

Homelessness is lonely. CUB isn't a transaction — it's a community where people know each other's names.

Clothing & Essentials

Don't Take Our Word for It

Every week, volunteers leave saying the same thing: “I got more than I gave.”

A wonderful place to serve the less fortunate in our beautiful city. I'm honored to be a part of CUB.

The Next Chapter

A Free Laundromat.
A Free Barbershop.
More Dignity.

Two buildings next to our sanctuary are being transformed. When they open, any unhoused neighbor in San Antonio can walk in — no charge, no judgment — for clean clothes and a fresh start.

This vision came to Executive Director Dianne Talbert in the middle of the night — a God-given dream of a place that restores dignity, not just supplies. You can help make it real.

Free Laundromat
Clean clothes — no quarters needed. Open to anyone experiencing homelessness.
Free Barbershop
A fresh cut changes how you feel about yourself. Dignity is powerful medicine.
Community Hub
A place to rest, connect, and access services — not just a quick stop.
Faith-Led Vision
Dianne Talbert's God-dream, built brick by brick through community generosity.
